For decades, footwear has been designed around men's anatomy, with women often wearing downsized versions of the same models. Yet women's bodies are built differently - and so is the way they move.

We are looking for women who want to become part of the Viking community and represent our Her Collection.

A wider hip structure - often referred to as a greater Q-angle - combined with a distinct foot shape and gait pattern affects how the body is aligned and supported with every step.

Women's stability tends to rely more on ligaments, making the body naturally more flexible. Over time, this can lead to increased pronation - where the foot rolls inward - as well as added strain on the knees and hips. The result is footwear that can feel unstable or uncomfortable, especially over long days.

Today, we know more. The Her Collection represents a new approach to footwear design. Instead of adapting existing models, Viking started from scratch - using women's anatomy, movement, and everyday lives as the foundation.

Crafted through research, tested in real life

Built on extensive research and real-world testing by Viking, the collection draws on insights from over 200,000 foot scans of women from Northern Europe. This data formed the basis for a women-specific last designed to deliver better support, more correct foot alignment, more even pressure distribution, and increased stability.

This data-driven approach ensures that the shoes don't just fit differently – they work differently. Tested by 100 women - from city explorers to mountain hikers - it's crafted with care, expertise, and innovation to support women with every step.

Motion Control helps counteract overpronation and provides a more balanced gait, specifically adapted to women.

Built with recycled materials

The shoes in the HER Collection incorporate recycled materials across the upper, resulting in a combined recycled content of 51% in the mesh, laces, and webbing.

How to care for your Her shoes

Keep your Her shoes looking and performing their best with gentle cleaning using a soft cloth and lukewarm water. Avoid machine washing and direct heat, and let them air dry naturally.
